One of Brasilia’s best-known images is the shot of the two towers on the Planalto Central, flanked by the two “bowls,” one face up and one face down. It is quite beautiful in an abstract way, contrasting with the red dirt and blue sky.
The inside is open to the public for English-language tours (including a visit to the Chamber of Deputies when in session), though it’s really of only moderate interest to non-Brazilians. No shorts or tank tops allowed. If you don’t take the tour, you’re only allowed in the museum and the lobby.
