Hotel Monumental Bittar

Hotel Monumental BittarThe low-rise Monumental looks unassuming but it’s actually a pleasant, moderately priced hotel. A recent spruce-up by the Bittar chain has meant new bedding and drapery. Rooms have either wall-to-wall carpeting or wood floors. The latter is far more comfortable.

Rooms with double beds are better than those with two twins; they have larger desks and closets and are larger overall. Avoid the east-facing ones which face the main street. A few rooms are adapted for travelers with disabilities.
