The Nacional was Brasilia’s first premier hotel, and though there are now others that are probably newer and more luxurious, it remains the hotel of choice among high-ranked politicians, visiting celebrities, and foreign dignitaries. For that reason it’s often impossible to book a room here.
If you can get a room, the Nacional is worth it for the experience and the quality. Rooms are extremely spacious, with large bathrooms and modern fixtures. The newly renovated spa and sauna are truly outstanding. But if brand-new (and easier to book) is what you’re looking for, try the Meliá.
